Two for One Raffle
Our raffle is unique. Each raffle ticket offers two chances to win a prize!
On Saturday night at the banquet, we raffle about 30-35 excellent woodturnings donated by some of our best local artists and the lead demonstrators. Winning tickets are placed back in the drum for the Sunday raffle which is held during lunch.
A special Gallery Raffle will also be held which consists of 8 selected pieces from the donated turned raffle items. A special raffle will be conducted for each of these pieces. Each chosen piece will have a separate container for tickets. Participants will place their tickets in the container of their choice for a chance for these special items. A select committee will choose the pieces.

Raffle Policy
The purpose of this policy statement is to detail SWAT's policy with regard to the acquisition of items for both the Two for One and Gallery raffle.
To help ensure clarity, the two raffles will be defined:
1. The Two for One is a raffle where turned "ART" items are solicited by the raffle committee for raffle at the SWAT Banquette. Winning tickets are placed back in the ticket bin for the opportunity to be drawn again the following day when tool or turning wood items that have been purchased from or donated by our vendors are raffled off. Tickets for this raffle will be sold with the understanding that they will be for this raffle only and cannot be used in the Gallery raffle.
2. The Gallery raffle is one where gallery quality pieces have been selected from the Art items that were themselves solicited for the Two for One raffle. Typically there will be 8 such pieces selected, but the Executive Committee of SWAT may, if they feel it necessary, change the number of pieces selected. These Gallery quality pieces will have separate tickets sold and each ticket may be placed in any of the 8 (or what ever number of pieces has been selected) individual bins set aside for these pieces. GALLERY RAFFLE TICKETS WILL NOT BE ELEGIBLE FOR EITHER PART OF THE TWO FOR ONE RAFFLE.
The key and most important issue for these raffles is that the pieces to be raffled MUST have been either solicited by or purchased by the responsible committees. In other words, it is NOT acceptable to allow items in the raffle that have simply been contributed regardless of the good intentions of the contributor or the quality of the piece the potential contributor may want to donate. It is only through strict adherence to this principle that the quality of items in the raffle can be maintained.
