On behalf of the Southwest Association of Turners, I welcome you to our website.

The Southwest Association of Turners is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization whose sole purpose is to provide an outstanding educational opportunity to anyone interested in the craft or the art of woodturning. Our annual symposium features internationally and nationally recognized turners, as well as regional turners from the twenty-three chapters of the American Association of Woodturners in our organization, who demonstrate their skills. We also have an Instant Gallery where our members show and/or sell their work. We hold a "2 for 1" raffle to help fund this event. The first raffle, held during the Saturday night banquet, features outstanding pieces that are donated by our members. The second raffle, using the same tickets, is held on Sunday during lunch, and includes lathes and tools.

Visit the 2010 Demonstrator link to see the list of demonstrators this year and the Symposium Info for more information about this event. The Gallery shows work that has been on display in previous years. The Registration link provides a registration form that can be mailed in or a link for on-line registration. Lunches are provided during the three-day event. Since this is an all volunteer organization we are able to keep the price of this event to what we hope is a very affordable level. We are currently the second largest woodturning symposium in the world.

Additionally we have Vendors that sell equipment and supplies to those attending the symposium at very competitive prices

I hope you’ll take the time to explore our website and learn more about the Southwest Turners Association of Turners and our 2010 symposium. On behalf of the SWATurners Executive Committee, I look forward to seeing you at our event this year.
